Who are these 'sharks' ?

These Sharks are self-made millionaires who started their companies from scratch. They are Indian entrepreneurs who have made it big in the Indian market.

They listen to the pitches made by various entrepreneurs and if it interests them, they offer them a deal. Sometimes sharks argue among themselves or join hands to get a deal with the entrepreneurs.

In every deal, in exchange for their investment and guidance, a certain percentage of equity is given to them.

 

How has Shark Tank benefitted Indian entrepreneurs?

Leaving a 9-5 conventional job, risking your financial stability to run behind your passion and dreams takes a lot of courage, blood, and sweat. Vineeta Singh an IIM alumnus was offered a 1CR package that she rejected just to start her enterprise. She founded SUGAR Cosmetics along with her husband and now her net worth is over $7 million!
