Feel excited about starting your own business. Because you are going to be the boss, the ultimate boss, no one to question you on your performance, set deadlines, no reports, determine your working hours.
Thinking of all these; mind starts to feel more excited, isn't it?
But in real time if you look at it, you have to get ready to shoulder more responsibilities. To set up your office, infrastructure, build a team, and to source new customers is not a easy task. One need to be highly committed, to deliver quality products or services to customer satisfaction. New business owner must learn all business trends to attract customers, techniques to retain the customers. Small Business is nothing but One man ARMY. You are the BOSS, and you are the OFFICE BOY.
Why one has to start their own business?
What drives an individual to start his/her own business?
Is it only money, profit? Or something beyond it? Profit is the result of successful business, but it can not be the primary business objective. So what could be the reason?
The reason here what I see is, to be more free-handed, to be more creative, to execute own ideas, to have recognition.
Personalities who wish to walk extra miles and take risks, decide to start their own business and explore new ideas. No matter what the returns they earn, they remain determined. Great revolution starts from a small corner of the room. So if you are thinking of starting business, its time to think of responsibilities and priorities. You cannot have control on your working hours. It's quite possible that you may suddenly disappear from social gatherings, partying, family functions, weekend picnics, even friends meet, etc.
It is also a time to sacrifice on certain engagements related to entertainment and devote that time to work and only work. That is the dedication and determination required by any business and being an entrepreneur one also has to balance with financial risk too.
As the word “entrepreneur” means a person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit. An individual who, rather than working as an employee, runs a small business and assumes all the risk and reward of a given business venture, idea, or good or service offered for sale. The entrepreneur is commonly seen as a business leader and innovator of new ideas and business processes.
Sure risks are these, but rewards are worth taking risk!
You are free to incorporate your own ideas into action and see the results. Exploring your ideas, new world of business connectivity, you are identified as you are, no one can take your credits.
As I already told, when you decide to start your own business, it is very high time to decide on priorities and primary tasks. As a business owner, you must plan your capital, investments, returns, and expenditures. You must also think about cost cutting, timetable, plan your activities, to prepare a list of Dos and Don’ts . Always be in control and alert about the activities you should be engaged in, groups you associate with, meetings to participate in. Even very tiny things matter a lot in business.
Every MINUTE counts…
As the technology advancements evolve, more the distractions exist, e.g. Social networking sites, forums, personal calls. As a business owner, you need to be focused and balance business with family and friends. Regulate your daily plans and activities, ensure you do not breach the policy that you have set in business operation so as to ensure you are on the right track and reap the benefits.
Persistence in what you do, taking pride in what you decided to do is the great rule for success. No matter what, Be determined and focused.
