What is Proforma Invoice?
A Proforma Invoice (pro forma invoice) is a bill of sale sent to buyers in advance of delivery of goods or services. The Proforma Invoice will typically describe the purchased items and other important information, such as the shipping weight and transport charges.

Why do you need a Proforma Invoice?
The purpose of a proforma invoice is to streamline the sales process. Once you send the Proforma Invoice, the customer agrees to the price, and then you send the goods or services. Instead of being a demand for payment, proforma invoices are good faith estimates that let them know what to expect.

How to create Proforma Invoice in Shimbi Invoice?
It's effortless to create Proforma in Shimbi invoice; simply go to Invoices menu > Click in Invoices and click on the New Invoice button. 

While saving the document, click on the Proforma Invoice button. Your new Proforma Invoice is ready to send to the client. You can also download it as a pdf file.

Your client can pay Proforma Invoice online, Shimbi Invoice, then automatically convert it to Invoice and marked it as paid!
