How robust is your organization foundation?

Just imagine if you created a company on a foundation made of sand. You just hired people to fill available openings and instead taking time to find out if they were right for the position, or for the company.

Just imagine if you created a company on a foundation made of sand.  You just hired people to fill available openings and instead taking time to find out if they were right for the position, or for the company culture. Over time, the waves would slowly damage your delicate foundation, and wash your company away.

Here at the Shimbi Labs, we spend most of our time recruiting great culture fits for the company. What we do is, allow a position to be vacant until we find a perfect fit and take the time to do so rather than quickly filling the position with someone who might not be right for our company and culture.

At times it could even take months to fill up a position, and multiple interviews are involved.  Our hiring decisions are based on our core values and culture fit. As "Pursue Growth and Learning" is Our Core Value, we will train for skill.

We look for Culture fit first, Skills second and then Experience.

Hiring the wrong people can costs companies a lot of money adding to it, there is also loss in productivity every year, so why not take a little extra time to find the right fit.

Ask yourself, are you building your company on a sand foundation, or are you building your company on a concrete one?
