Recently, when I heard during the pandemic, LGBTQ communities in many places were denied medical attention. I felt sad. Everyone should get medical assistance no matter who they are. I started reading more about global trends in LGBT rights during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
In one of the team meetings, I raised this topic at Shimbi Labs. I was stunned, surprised, and felt sad to see very low or almost no awareness about the LGBTQ community.
Fortunately, June celebrates PRIDE Parades, and Shimbi Labs celebrate its foundation.
At that moment, I decided, we as Shimbi Labs brand, must stand by the LGBTQ community and show our support through social media. Create awareness about the community among the team members and make sure we are open to hiring members of the LGBTQ community at Shimbi Labs.
We also decided to name our next project to respect the LGBTQ community. Our next project name is PRIDE (PRIDE also stands for Process for Rapid Implementation, Development and, Execution) - a Next-generation Project Development Platform based on Laravel Framework for developers.
I also ask Zainab, our young blogger, to investigate what Indians think about LGBTQ? How much sensitive are they about LGBTQ?
We at Shimbi Labs respect individuals' sexual orientation, religious beliefs, and political opinion. Everyone must express who they are without disrespecting others. Freedom of speech and individual privacy must be respected and protected. We don't do any gender bias, and we welcome diversity.
